Register protection principles

Prima Pet Premium processes personal data in a manner that aims to ensure appropriate security of personal data, including protection against unauthorised processing and accidental loss, destruction and damage. We use the appropriate technical and organisational security measures that are considered acceptable within the industry at any given time to ensure this. Information systems and files are protected by the technical security measures that are normally used in business operations. The data is stored in the system, in an area protected by a firewall and with access protected by usernames and a password. Access to the register requires a username and password that is only granted to members of our personnel or those of the processor we use, whose position and tasks include access rights.

Inspection, rectification and other rights of data subjects

After providing the necessary information, the data subject has the right to know what information pertaining to them is stored in the register or to know that there is no information pertaining to them in the register. In addition, the data subject has the right to obtain a copy of the information in question. In addition, the data subject has the right to request the rectification of inaccurate data in the register, to request the erasure of their personal data in certain situations, to request the restriction of its processing or to object to its processing.

Under certain conditions, data subjects also have the right to transfer data from one system to another. If the processing is based on the data subject’s consent, the data subject has the right to withdraw the consent given (for the sake of clarity, however, the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal is not affected by the withdrawal).

A data subject who wishes to access information about themselves or exercise other rights must submit a request to the person responsible for the data controller’s register by means of a document including their handwritten signature. The request must be made in writing.

Requests should be sent to Prima Pet Premium Oy, “Register data inspection” or “Register data correction”, Kuokkamaantie 4, 33800 Tampere.

Data subjects also have the right to file a complaint with a data protection authority if they believe that their personal data has been processed in violation of current legislation.
